Delhi borders with Uttar Pradesh on East and Haryana on West, North and South.  Delhi lies almost entirely in the Gangetic plains.


The climate of the city is hot and humid in the summers, and cold in the winters. The best time to visit New Delhi is during the spring seasons. During the months of February to April and August to November Delhi has a pleasant climate. Temperatures in summer can go up to 45 oC, and in winters to as low as 3 oC. Most festivals in New Delhi take place between October and March.
