North Goa

North Goa beaches include: Arambo,Morjim,Chapora,Vagator,Anjuna,Baga,Calangute,Candolim,Sinquerim,Bamboli mmiramar,Dona Paula Goa. Other places to see are Saptakoteshwar temple at Narva, Mayem lake, Mapusa town and Vagator, Anjuna, Calangute and Fort Aguada beaches.

The Saptakoteshwar temple is famous as deity of Lord Saptakoteshwar was hidden whenever Goa was under attack. In 1688, Maharaja Chhatrapati Shivaji renovated the temple.

South Goa

South Goa Beaches include: Bogmalo, Majorda ,Colva ,Benaulim, Varca ,Cavelossim, Mobor Canaguinim, Agonda, Palolem.

The South Goa is famous for places in old Goa. The Basilica of Bom Jesus, the Se Cathedral, the Wax World Museum and the Museum of Christian Art are churches that showcase Portuguese architecture and, Ancestral Goa at Loutolim.

Goa by night

Goa by night is very popular cruise. The launch takes you down the river Mandovi and the Dona Paula Bay. The tour also takes you by road to see the Mae de Deus Church of Saligao, the Immaculate Conception Church, Altinho on the shill-top and the Maruti temple at Panaji.

Enchanting Beaches

Goa with a 131 km long shoreline has many pristine beaches. Winds blowing, waves lashing and the radiant sun reflecting on the water as silver drops beckons everyone to get soaked in its numerous beaches. Small parks, churches, monuments near beaches add spice to the travel.

Miramar - Miramar beach is where the river Mandovi flows into the Arabian Sea. It is on the outskirts of Goa’s capital city Panjim.

Calangute Beach - The Calangute Beach is a pristine 7 km stretch. This is known as ‘The Queen of Beaches’. Water sports are available here.

Baga Beach - Baga beach has a great nightlife. It is ideal for sunbathing and fishing.

Anjuna Beach - Anjuna beach is very popular. It is large and is divided into three parts, North Anjuna, Middle Anjuna and South Anjuna.

Morjim Beach - Olive Ridley turtles nest here.

Vagator Beach


Arambol or Harmal Beach 

Bogmalo Beach - This beach is close to the airport.


Colva Beach - Colva is Goa’s longest beach. The beach is covered with white powdery sands, which glitters under moonlight.


Betalbatim Beach - North of Colva is Betalbatim Beach.


Palolem Beach - Palolem is a quiet and beautiful beach. Further down, there is Rajbag Beach, Galgibaga Beach and Agonda Beach.

Temples

Mapusa: Famous for its weekly fair on Friday.

Margao: It is the capital of South Goa district. It has old mansions and modern buildings.

Pilar: A centre of Christian Missionaries, the place has a fine view of Mormugao Harbour and Zuari river.

Vasco-da-Gama: Goa’s international airport and railway terminus is here.
