Dubai Museum

Sheikh Saeed’s House

The official residence of Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and grandfather of the present Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The house has a collection of rare historic photographs, coins, stamps and documents.

The Bastakiya

The old district of Bastakiya reflects the glory of Old Dubai. It is the largest concentration of traditional courtyard houses in Dubai.

Hatta Heritage Village

Nestled among the Hajjar Mountains, Hatta village of the 16th century is an excellent example of traditional village architecture of Dubai.

Burj Nahar

Burj Nahar is watchtower built in 1870. Today, it stands tall in the picturesque gardens in Deira

Sheikh Obaid bin Thani House

Located in the Shindagha area near Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum House, it was built in 1916. The house is made of stone and mud with traditional style windows, doors and facades.

Al Shindagha Area, Al Ahmadiya School &Heritage House, Naif Fort in Deira, Majlis Ghorfat Um-Al Sheif, Bur Dubai Creekside Promenade and Jumeriah are places of interest that showcase ancient Dubai.
